Did you know?

Did you know how much a person can learn quickly, and for free?

Do you remember the great philosophers of our time? From Socrates to Foucault? Well, I don't remember much about them either. How about the great classic music composers? Same answer for me as before. You may not be interested in these topics but I'm sure you have areas of interest or hobbies of your own. Sports, history, poetry, specific geographical parts of the world you've always been intrigued about, animals, and different aspects of our planet. The list goes on.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, I just find out something quite interesting. I've been interested in birds and after checking out a book at the library and skimming through some of the bird books we already have, I was surprised at how much I've learned. I didn't have to go to school or spend any money. Then I checked out a book on Starwatch in Georgia and learnt a bunch on Stars, Galaxies, and constellations. Then a book on knots (tying all kinds of knots), and I was quite getting into it this week end.

What do you want to know about, learn about, or learn more about? Between the public library and material you already have around in the house, you'd be surprised how interesting it can be.
It keeps your mind young and sharp too. Did you know that?
