Birdwatching in Alabama

We visited the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge in Decatur, Alabama this past week end.

The White Egret in flight. (Click on the pic).
We've never seen such a large concentration of Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Sandhill Cranes, and different species of ducks at one place. It was a real treat for us.
James, Melba and Jordan came along. Don initiated the trip and was there.

After watching birds from an observatory post, we took a walk down the trail.

Debbie saw two Ospreys on our way to the refuge.
